B2B PPC MANAGEMENT

B2B PPC that produces pipeline, not form fills

Google Ads and LinkedIn. Targeting by company and job title. Leads answered in minutes, not days.

B2B PPC means running paid campaigns aimed at a few thousand specific companies rather than a mass audience. Crisolva runs Google Ads and LinkedIn together, qualifies leads before they reach your sales team, and charges a flat fee from $450 a month.

THE B2B PROBLEM

Your total addressable market might be four thousand companies

Most paid advertising advice is written for consumer businesses. B2B breaks every assumption underneath it.

01

A smaller market

When the realistic buyer list is a few thousand companies, the goal stops being reach and starts being frequency against the right accounts.

02

A buying committee

The person who fills in the form rarely signs the contract, so the researcher, the budget holder and the end user all need something different to see.

03

A longer sales cycle

A four-month evaluation against a thirty-day attribution window means the campaign that started the conversation gets no credit for the deal.

04

Cost per lead misleads

Cheaper leads are easy to buy. Cheaper qualified leads are the actual job, and optimizing for the first reliably damages the second.

CHANNEL CHOICE

Google Ads or LinkedIn — and when to run both

They do different jobs. Google reaches people already looking for a solution. LinkedIn reaches people who match your ideal customer but aren't searching yet.

The honest sequence for most B2B businesses is Google first, because intent makes it cheaper to prove the funnel works. Add LinkedIn once you know what a qualified lead costs and what it's worth.

How we run Google Ads accounts

AUDIENCE BUILD

Building the audience, and deciding who to leave out

Exclusions do as much work as inclusions, and almost nobody talks about them.

How we build the list

  • Company size, revenue band and industry
  • Technologies already in use, where that signals a need
  • Job function and seniority rather than job title, because titles vary wildly between companies
  • Growth signals such as recent hiring in the relevant team
  • Your existing customer list, for exclusion or for expansion

Who we exclude, and why

  • Existing customers, unless the campaign is deliberately for expansion
  • Companies below your deal size floor — a lead you can't profitably serve costs twice
  • Competitors, who will click and study your pricing
  • Agencies and consultancies, when you sell direct
  • Job seekers, who make up a large share of engagement on company-targeted campaigns

Exclusion lists are usually the fastest improvement available in lead quality, and they cost nothing to implement.

OFFER DESIGN

What a B2B buyer will actually trade their email address for

“Contact us” asks for commitment before you've given anyone a reason.

VALUE EXCHANGE

Offers that work

  • A specific audit or assessment
  • Benchmark data for their industry
  • A tool that solves one small problem immediately
  • A genuinely useful template

Each of these gives value before asking for anything.

WEAK EXCHANGE

Offers that don't

  • “Contact us”
  • “Request a demo” as the only option
  • A generic ebook
  • A newsletter signup

Each of these asks for commitment and offers nothing in return.

Ask for the fewest fields that let sales have a useful first conversation. Company size from a dropdown is worth more than three fields of free text.

SPEED TO LEAD

What happens in the first five minutes

Response speed changes outcomes more than almost anything else in a B2B funnel.

0:00ELAPSED TIME5:00
  1. 01WITHIN SECONDS

    Immediate acknowledgement

An automated response confirms what happens next and when. It costs nothing and it stops the lead assuming they've been ignored.

  2. 02WITHIN MINUTES

    Automated qualification

Two or three questions decide whether this is a real opportunity, so your team spends its time on the ones that are.

  3. 03IMMEDIATE

Routed to your CRM with context

The lead arrives with the campaign, the search term or audience, and the qualification answers attached. Sales opens a record with context, not a name and an email address.

This is where automation earns its place. It handles speed and consistency — the things people do badly at 9pm on a Friday. It doesn't decide what a good lead is, and it doesn't run the sales conversation.

MEASUREMENT

Cost per lead is not the number that matters

Cost per lead is easy to measure and easy to improve by making leads worse.

StageWhat it tells youWho holds the data
01ClickThe ad workedAd platform
02LeadThe offer workedAd platform
03Qualified leadYou're reaching the right companiesYour CRM
04OpportunityThe offer matches a real needYour CRM
05Closed wonThe channel produces revenueYour CRM
01

Why the last three rows matter

The ad platform can only see the top two rows. Everything that decides whether a channel deserves funding lives in your CRM, which is why we connect the two before optimizing anything.

02

Why a rising cost per lead can mean it's working

Tightening targeting removes the cheap, unqualified leads first. Average cost goes up while pipeline improves. Judged on cost per lead alone, that looks like failure.

03

Why attribution windows matter

A three-month sales cycle measured on a thirty-day window will consistently under-credit the campaigns that start conversations and over-credit the ones that close them.

PRICING

PPC management pricing, in context

Flat monthly fees from $450, based on ad spend rather than a percentage of it. The same fee covers one platform or several — we don't charge per channel.

FIT

Is this the right fit?

A good fit if you...

  • Sell to other businesses with a deal size above a few thousand
  • Can invest at least $1,000 a month in ad spend
  • Have a CRM, or are willing to put one in
  • Can respond to a qualified lead within a day
  • Can describe who your best customers are

Not a fit if you...

  • Need leads this week
  • Have no sales capacity to follow up
  • Want to be judged on cost per lead alone
  • Sell something where the economics don't support B2B acquisition costs
  • Can't tell us what a qualified lead looks like

FAQ

B2B PPC questions

Google first, in most cases. Search intent makes it cheaper to find out whether your offer and funnel work. Once you know what a qualified lead costs and what it’s worth, LinkedIn becomes a reasoned investment rather than a bet. The exception is a genuinely new category nobody searches for yet — then LinkedIn is the only option.

Only once the first one is producing predictably. Running both badly from day one is the expensive version, because neither gets enough budget to generate the conversion data that makes optimization possible.

It varies too widely by industry and deal size for a single number to be honest. LinkedIn is consistently more expensive per lead than Google, often several times so, and it can still be the better investment when deal sizes justify it. We’d rather benchmark against your own numbers after a month than quote an industry average that doesn’t describe your market.

Meaningfully more than Google needs, because costs per click are higher and you need enough conversions to learn anything. If your total budget is near the $1,000 floor, put it into Google and revisit LinkedIn when the budget grows.

Yes. Fees are based on total ad spend, not on how many channels it’s split across.

Three to six months is common and some run longer. What matters is that the attribution window matches it. Reporting set to thirty days on a four-month cycle will consistently mislead you about which campaigns work.

HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Go High Level and most others with a usable integration. What matters is that lead stages are recorded consistently — a CRM nobody updates produces the same blind spot as no CRM at all.

Forms convert better because fields pre-fill and nobody leaves the app. Landing pages qualify better because the extra effort filters out casual interest. Start with forms when you need volume to learn from, and move to landing pages when sales capacity is the constraint rather than lead volume.

You define it and we optimize toward it. Usually a combination of company fit, a real problem, and some authority over the budget. Whatever the definition, it has to be recorded in the CRM consistently, or there’s nothing to optimize against.

Then paid advertising is the wrong thing to fix first. Response speed changes outcomes more than most campaign optimization does, and we’ll say so before taking the account rather than after.

Yes. LinkedIn supports uploaded company lists, and Google can layer customer match and audience signals onto search campaigns. Account-based targeting works well when the list is genuinely qualified and large enough to produce data.
